We are the Lopez family to Honduras. My wife Christi and I have been married for 15 years and have three boys Alex, Isaac and Jacob. We both grew up under the influence of Catholicism but thankfully someone loved us enough to share the true Gospel with us and we were able to know that we were going to Heaven when we died. God has moved in our lives in so many ways since receiving Christ as our Saviour. I totally surrendered my life to Christ at the age of 20 and about a year later God called me to be a missionary while on a summer missions trip to Mexico.

Christi knew the call of missions on her life at a young age, and at the age of 19, she surrendered her life to missions. Chiristi and I both attended the same church in our teenage years and we both received Missions degrees from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. Upon graduation, we still didn't have a mission field to call our own. We kept asking God to give us peace about where He wanted us to serve, but God just kept saying, "Wait, it will be in my time." I was abel to fulfill my internship at my home church, Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas as associate pastor/youth pastor. We worked at Calvary from May 2005 until going on deputation in May of 2009. While at Calvary, God opened up my eyes to the country of Honduras. It is predominantly Catholic in religion and the people thing they have the answer, but in all reality they are as lost as we once were. God has place a burden on our hearts for these lovely people and we are honored to able to share with them the Gospel Truth.
